Monday Motivation ... Never Give Up!!
We have all heard the old saying, "Quitters never win, and Winners never quit." Sounds good, right? But sometimes it's hard to keep going. How do you stay inspired? How do you keep going?
Start by keeping yourself encouraged. If you have a setback, remember that is the process. We all have setbacks. We all have failures. But, if you have a dream, a goal you feel passionate about, do not let these things sway you from pursuing them. Take one more step, then another towards your goals. Keep going!!
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9"
When you feel discouraged, you need to revisit your plan. Write down why you want to do this, and ways you think you can make it happen. Organize your thoughts and goals, map them out. Setting goals, and then defining steps for how to reach them can help you stay encouraged and not be overwhelmed by focusing on a little at a time instead of the whole picture at once. Another oldy but goody saying... "Slow and Steady Wins the Race."
I am a big advocate of keeping a journal. A place for your thoughts, your feelings, and your plans. Make yourself a schedule. Make your to-do lists. Keep yourself on track and your goals in front of you.
If you would like, I have downloadable journal and calendar sheets in my Etsy store, you can download them once for a minimal fee, and print them off as often as you need. Here is a link to my store if you would like to check that out.
So, how do you know if it's just not the right time to give up on a dream? Ask yourself, will you feel fulfilled without this. Will you regret giving up? Is this something you feel passionate about, or was this just something you thought might be a good idea? There's a difference. Trying out new things, it's a good thing, but might not always work out. But, pursuing your passion, what sets your soul on fire? That's a lot more important. Keep that fire, keep your commitment, and believe in yourself. Never quit on the things that are important to you.
Have a good week friends!
